Recently, I’ve been so drawn to blushes and baby pinks. There’s a certain sexiness and appeal to its innocent color and I’ve been enjoying wearing it in the summer months against a bronzed tan, instead of predictably wearing pink during springtime. It’s also a nice break from my usual black, white, and earth tones.
Two of my absolute favorite pieces in my closet are my pink lace bralette and a blush bell-sleeved satin mini dress, both purchased at Savvy. My bell-sleeved dress has gotten me countless compliments, even though it’s not brand new.
In my opinion, there is nothing that gives you more of a confidence boost than wearing a lacy little bralette under an unexciting outfit. It works well under loose tanks to add a touch of femininity, or it’s comfortable enough to wear to bed.
My white and blush striped knit dress was a steal from an H&M clearance sale a year or two ago, and was refreshing to wear again when I had told myself it was boring.
I have also loved my blush surplice blouse from NastyGal that pairs amazingly with distressed boyfriend jeans. You can find a similar blouse here.
I have also compiled a list of other blush must-haves:
1 e.l.f mineral blush in “Rose” – $5
2 Salvatore Ferragamo “Signorina” – $99 – My signature scent, it’s light and sweet enough for everyday use.
3 Jo Malone “Peony and Blush Suede” – $120 – I honestly can’t get enough of this scent, its light peony/jasmine/rose scent is very feminine and subtly sexy.
4 Anthropologie “Underella Gavarnie Bralette” – $40
5 MAC Cremeblend Blush in “Something Special” – $22 – A wonderful, blend able blush that provides medium coverage and leaves a sexy, dewy finish.
6 NastyGal “Ferrah” Jumpsuit – $78
7 NastyGal Shoecult “Sheer Madness” Bootie – $78
8 NastyGal “Rose and Cons” Top – $48
9 Rifle Paper Co. Rorschach Notebook Set – $15
It’s good to embrace colors that are outside your comfort zone and can make you feel more beautiful and feminine. I’ll definitely be wearing more blush until summer ends.
