By now, if you didn’t know me already, you must know that I am drawn to all things “bohemian”. I think it’s because of my artistic and carefree nature, combined with the airy, carefree and colorful aesthetics of the bohemian lifestyle.
bo·he·mi·an
bōˈhēmēən/
(adj.)
(1) pertaining to a socially unconventional person, especially one who is involved in the arts;
(2) living a wandering or vagabond life
Being bohemian involves having no rules and living carefree. Am I badass? Absolutely not. The area of bohemianism that I relate most to are the aesthetics, especially in fashion. I mostly love dressing unlike other women in my generation, and feeling comfortable in what I am wearing. I love watching trends arrive with the new seasons, but I do not go with the mainstream flow when it comes to labels or styles. Instead, I love flowy, airy pieces, extravagant details and embellishments, and taking risks of combining the two (lace and fringed leather, anyone?). I appreciate various types of art, from beautiful fashion illustrations, to abstract paintings. And my taste in music varies as well, from J.Cole to Death Cab.
That’s why I was so thrilled to stumble upon this crop top from Topshop on the Nordstrom website. I bought it because I believed that it encompasses everything I am, from my “boho” fashion sense, to my laid-back and carefree attitude.

I encourage you to live in a way that makes you happiest, even if it is opposite from the majority. You define your own rules and your own happiness and express this in a way that is most beautiful to you. Love things, whether they make sense or not.
