This weekend was a fabulous one overall; the sunshine and warmer weather, combined with busy but successful days at work, has me so excited and ready for spring. It was also pleasant reminder that spring is much closer than I thought (3ish weeks?!?!).
With the warmer weather, I was able to bring out lighter weight pieces in lighter hues and shorter hemlines, which was a nice break from chunky knits, jeans, and boots.
Friday involved a sequined short-sleeved shift dress with over-the-knee boots and a suede moto jacket.
Saturday involved bringing out my satin palazzo pants again with a cozy chunky cardigan. But to avoid looking too lazy, I added a black leather cropped tank (that I snatched on SALE!!!) and a heavy necklace, just to add a surprising edge to an otherwise organic outfit. I’m not ashamed to admit that I did end up curling up and falling asleep in these palazzos.
Today, I was a repeat offender by wearing the same cardigan, but this time, over a black tank and black skinny jeans, with a bronze beaded necklace. With the temperature dropping and the sad realization that the weekend was over, I was obviously uninspired with my black ensemble but was excited to finally wear my new necklace as a statement piece.
I can’t wait to lounge around these next three days I have off. Until next time…
