It’s been a whirlwind week! It was a bit of struggle going back to work after my mini vacation, but it was good to be back. In my free time, I’ve been working on multiple creative projects. Besides that, here’s what made my week:
I truly love when a new Nordstrom catalog comes every month. This month’s ranged from feminine colors and silhouettes, to boyfriend-inspired wovens. See the catalog here!
I was disappointed (but not surprised) to find one of my staple white tees shrunken and skewed after accidentally throwing it in the dryer. Instead of tossing it out, I painted my logo as if I already had my own line. It’s just a silly improvement on a ratty t-shirt, but it was motivating nonetheless.
I’ve been so irritated trying to find a new curtain that suits the overall decor of my studio. I’ve been tired of the weight and boring brown of my previous Target curtain and have been searching for something lightweight, textured or patterned, and boho/feminine/chic. Then I decided to just make do and use one of fabric samples! I’ve hit a major creative block in trying to plan drafts for my summer collection, so this was a fun way to use one of my fabrics in the meantime. There was almost no cutting required, and when I decide on how to finally use this fabric in a garment, I just simply have to take out the seams in this curtain. For now, I’m very happy with its aesthetic and the extra light that comes into my room.
I’ve been working on a painting that I was unhappy with and although it’s still not quite finished, it’s still fun to prop up with my other things on my desk.
I’m currently counting down the hours until the start of my Valentine’s getaway. I’m currently packing and made sure to include the new lingerie I recently purchased.
Have a wonderful weekend!
