wonderful week: jan. 18, 2015

I haven’t posted anything this week, oops!  This past week has been filled with work, play, and lots of creativity.

girls

After college, just the thought of going out and drinking is mentally exhausting.  So since graduating, I prefer nights in to going out and cringing at the sight of my bank statement.  However, going out with close girlfriends and coworkers was much needed and very refreshing.

liner

I was looking to experiment more with my lip products and my makeup expert suggested I try lip liner.  I’ve always been nervous because I associate lip liner with drag queens or girls with really thin lips.  But it really does accentuate my lips and helps update my look! And if done correctly, looks sexy!  I’m pleasantly surprised.  (p.s. If any of you suggest that I’m on the Kylie Jenner train, I’ll be seriously insulted.

Nothing can boost one’s self esteem more than what’s underneath and not seen by anyone else.  New lingerie is a sexy pick-me-up and helped make my week.  I realized later that I purchased things in a mauve color, which is a more colorful and less cliche alternative to your usual red and black.

Went to Target for the first time in weeks and snatched up some things to brighten up my apartment.

sisterhood

Earlier this week was Bid Day back at Virginia Tech and I was eagerly stalking my Facebook to see the new members (and my soon-to-be sisters).  My sisters also reappeared on social media after serving as Rho Gammas/recruitment guides and disaffiliating from our chapter, and seeing them appear again made me realize how much I miss them.  I am very proud of the growth of my chapter and for the unending love and sisterhood of Gamma Phi Beta.  My chapter has come a long way since my time there with my charter class after colonizing at Virginia Tech.  Congratulations Eta Epsilon on your new additions!  And welcome home to the new members!

what I’m looking forward to:

A day off tomorrow complete with a coffee date, exploring Richmond, and working on my art or clothing designs.

Reuniting with a friend who has been traveling the past few weeks and just returned home!

A girl’s night in/girls only party…
